Technical description (t.b.d.)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The original description of this species is found in Yang (1997).

The cap of Amanita incarnatifolia is 35 - 70 mm wide, convex to planar, gray to grayish-brownish in the center, and paler towards the margin. The margin is striate, with striations usually consuming 20 - 30% of the cap radius.

The gills are free to subfree, pinkish, close, and 5 - 15 mm broad.

The stem is 50 - 100 x 5 - 15 mm, white, finely fibrillose. The ring is about 10 - 20 mm below the apex of the stem, is membranous and small, and has both surfaces white. The volva is saccate, 15 - 40 x 10 - 25 mm and white to dirty white on both surfaces.

The spores measure (9.5-) 10.0 - 13.0 (-13.5) x (6.5-) 7.0 - 9.0 (-9.2) µm and are inamyloid and ellipsoid.  Clamps are present at bases of basidia.

This species was originally described from the provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan, China, where it is known from Pine forests.  The species is also known from Japan.
