Ferns and Fern Allies
Rare, Threatened, or Endangered in New Jersey

According to Special Plants of New Jersey

(Office of Natural Lands Management, Division of Parks and Forestry,
Department of Environmental Protection, CN 404, Trenton, New Jersey)
(May, 1997)

This list has been extracted for comparison to the list of ferns and fern allies found in Roosevelt, Monmouth Co., New Jersey.  The third column of the table indicates whether a given taxon has been found in or adjacent to the southwest "panhandle"  of Monmouth County---derived from Montgomery and Fairbrothers [1992. New Jersey ferns and fern allies. (Rutgers Univ. Press, New Brunswick)].  The reader may also find of interest a complete list (again from Montgomery and Fairbrothers) of the ferns known from the southwest "panhandle" of Monmouth County, but not yet known from Roosevelt.
